    Have u guys received any mail about, "when the interview has been scheduled"...
    I didn't anything yet after i sent the preferred time for interview...

    can anybody tell me about Microsoft student partner interview.  for rockstar-1 contest.
    In last mail they were saying interview is postponed,  till that i'm waiting for next mail/ call.

    Thanks to all of you who sent in your preferred times for calling. Unfortunately, due to some technical reasons, we were unable to proceed with interviews as per schedule over the last week. Consequently, these interviews will happen over the next couple of weeks. We will try to call you at your preferred times; however, if for some reason, we call you at some other time, and if you are not free, there is no reason to panic. In that case, we will work out a mutually-convenient time to call you once again.

     

    Also, please note that we receive a high volume of e-mail so we might not be in a position to respond to all your e-mail individually. If that is the case, please do not assume that we are ignoring you but please also keep in mind that patience is a virtue we value very highly in potential MSPs. So, please hold on for a couple of weeks before you start pinging us once again stating that you have not been contacted. If, for some reason, we are unable to reach you over the phone, we will let you know accordingly over e-mail.

    Hey buddy just relax there are more than 400 applications pending and they are processing them on regular basis and you will most probably get call for your intervied schedule and that would be late night after office hours around 9-10 P.M. So keep your phones on.

    Yes Akshat is absolutly right i am MSP form India

     

    Its not necessary that they would definately call you after office hours but dont expect a call during working hours only. They may call you any time and its your passion for technology that could make you a MSP.

     

    If you have not received a call or an interview mail or notification yet dont worry because you will receive it shortly because it takes time to scan and go throught the applications and they perform activities in batches.

    Well I dont intend to critisise or anything.. but things have been delayed a lot... they kept on delaying the interview and now its heights... when they had asked for out favourable time and asked us to be free during that time.. I made sure that i m free at that time... and its very tough....

    I have college schedule from 9am to 6pm and sometimes till 8pm....
    And do they intend us to remember everything all the time... for a week its understandable that we prepare well... but if you dont know what time or which week you will get a call.. do you intend to leave ur studies and prepare for the interview all the time...
    .Net and frameworks is not their in my sylabus, but i studied them on my own.. but i wont remember each and every detail everytime... also i cannot just wait for the interview call.....


    So now i dont care whether they call or not.. because their delaying has discouraged me a lot....

    Hey Varun Don't get disappointed.

    You dont have to be that much worried. They just check up your general concepts and how keen are you towads technology and about the latest tech pattern. They wont ask you to code a complete exchange server all of a sudden but the basics shall be clear. They have multiple options for a interview to be conducted and it is upto them and you luch in which category you fall. Just provide your best shot and prove that your are the best candidate and be very clear about your past projects and project and technology your are currently working on.

    Well Bipin, I understand that they will check only the basic knowledge.. but still the delay and disappointment they have given is not justifiable... They delayed the interview 2 times, and just give me one name, from the whole Rockstar winners list, who recieved the interview call... Even Harshil, Top winner of the competition didnt recieved the interview call....

    varun i understand you status and enthusiasm toward MSP program but consider that only microsoft supports such kind of academic programs and moreover the patience is also a good quality of a great mind. And microsoft search for great minds only. I would rather add that you just concentrate on your projects and study.

    They are processing applications and it will take some time. Thought the ADE from south Mr. Ajay T. Thomas who updates you about interview details is too much busy these days because other three ADE's are out of india presently for some official work and he also has to travel a lot. I just met him last month in a boot camp and he informed me that the applications are under process and would be cleared up very soon.

    Just relax and carry on your projects because at the end during the interview it is only your projects and knowledge that will help you in selection process.

    All the Msp activites are tracked and Microsft consider only those students who are active and passionate about technology. They are tracking their activites also and will go through you application and would proceed accordingly.

    Hey guys,

    Finally i have been interviewed for the MSP Programme. I missed 3 call attempts from the MSP interviewer, but still they were kind enough to call me up repeatedly and make sure that they dont miss out even a single Application.

    The interview was really nice, they discussed good topics. (Sorry, but  I cannot say what were the questions). The interviewer was really nice, kind spoken, and also he conducted the interview with good patience, explaining me again and again things that i didn't understand Smile.

    He called me yesterday (20-Sep-2007 21:49:35 hrs). So, taking the time into consideration we can understand that he is calling us at off-office hours whenever he gets time. He has otehr works to do as well, and still he is taking time for us. I think there are few more people to be interviewed in the comming days. After they are done the interview  (if they are available on the phone), we can expect the results. Seeing  how busy the interviewer is, its not possible to exactly tell the date of the MSP results, but it will be soon.

    So guys, who have yet to be interviewed, please be ready and attend the call. so that the process can get over quickly, and we can have the results soon.

    So you can share the review that you got... If Mr. Ajay Thomas had taken your interview, he might have given you a review on the interview at the end....
