CRM 2011 IE 8 script issues after Update rollup 7/8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Our CRM 2011 is a IFD deployment and after update roll up 7 in server

    • Script error while accessing  the application from server via IE8 .
    • application was working fine with client machines with IE 8 or IE 9 but Java scripts didn't get fired while a crm form is opened from custom web page.

due to some urgent issues we uninstalled update roll up 7 and reverted back to update roll up 6 then the system was working fine.

Today, we installed update roll up 8 and still have the script error in server

    • Script error while accessing  the application from server via IE8 .
    • Multiple times AD authentication is prompted while accessing custom web page.

Note : The application is working fine from client machines after update roll up 8

Request you to help us to solve the application accessibility issue in CRM servers

Appreciated if any one could help me.

  • Did you clear the cache after installation of UR8? If so, how? Don´t just call the button Delete and then mark cache and cookies. Instead go to Advanced - Show Files than mark all files and delete them manually.

  • We also had similar issues with Rollup 7, see http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/fi-FI/crmdeployment/thread/043fc4fb-7992-466e-8a65-be85b2b550d6 - we retested in rollup 8 as well with no luck, and were told it should be fixed in Rollup 9. The thread above does have a workaround that seemed to work for some folks who were using custom pages.

  • Hi All,

Script because of ROF. so if we use Window.Open('Case Link') then this will have problem with script loading and associated activities.

for that we need to accces CRM context and use window.parent.opener.openStdWin(url, name, customWinFeatures); method
    for opening.

    It worked for me.
