Software package purchased from an eBay seller "looked" genuine

Question
-
I also have purchased "New Sealed Windows 7 32&64 bit Full Version" from eBay just a week ago. It is Home premium Win 7. software package which looked like a genuine retail package with COA and product key.
My COA lable has "Win Home Prem English ROW DVD" which is meant for "Rest Of the World" and the metallic thread does have the red "OUR PASSION" words I was able to install software but can not activate because the product key blocked by MS.
The MS support made me run a test and test confirmed that I have genuine software.
Then I provided my product key and been told that it is MSDN key and can not be sold in retail box and I will need to purchase a new key.
MS CS will not send me email confirmation that my copy in fact can not be used. I wanted official word from MS before I take it to eBay.
After I found this forum and information that MSDN product ID contains "067"
Now I am more confused, because my product ID does not have "067" ,
it is: 00359-232-6042277-86179 . Could you please help. Thank you

The pirates have got VERY good at this over the past few years, as the price of equipment for manufacturing the packages drops, and as factories open in less well-policed countries.

I concur with Noel, this IS an MSDN, not for resale key. For an official MS response wait for Darin Smith but I can say with 100% certainty that this is MSDN and you should proceed with a claim as soon as possible. DO NOT accept a replacement key, by definition, any key only sale is automaticly in violation of MS license agreement (with very rare exceptions that do not apply to your situation). I realize you recieved this with media but the seller will usually try to send you a replacement key to buy some time so he can disapear.

Jacob, take a look at this

These counterfeits look very authentic. But how does an MSDN product key get printed on the yellow label on that card inside a sealed genuine Microsoft product? Obviously, it doesn't.

I tried the link but I get a message in my browser that the website is not responding.
I cannot recommend any sites other than the Microsoft Store, Amazon.com (no affiliates), NewEgg.com (no affiliates). In my country there are chain stores I would buy from like Best Buy.
I don't know where you are but do NOT buy from a web-based discounter. If you want to buy other types of software that nobody cares to counterfeit from those sellers fine, but not the Windows or Office. Windows and Office are prime targets of con artists.
I got taken just like you and I decided not to take any more chances whatsoever with this purchase and I bought from the Microsoft Store. Good luck!

Barge-poles immediately come to mind! The site is less than a month old, and hosted on some very odd servers, with some very strange DNS servers.
