  • Question

  • Hello, my name is Gary Lyon and I just became MCDST certified as of today. I am looking at what would be me next step in the certification process.
I am assuming that my next step is the MCSE and the MCSA certification.
Can anyone tell me where I should go next for the certification process? I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Hello Gary,

Take a look at the Microsoft Roadmap:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/education/roadmap/default.mspx

It lists out all the certs including the Vista/2008 certs.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hey Gary. First, congrats on your certifications. I hope you have much success with it. Now, let's move on to your question. While your assumption is a popular one in the certification community, it really all depends on two things: 1.) what areas or technology do you currently have proficiency in and 2.) what do you see yourself doing in the I.T. field. Eric provided a great link that Microsoft has created. But what must be understood about this roadmap is that it is fluid and solely depends on what your interests are. Like every map, there are different areas of interest. It is up to you to determine what areas you want to pursue.
