Access Teams in ms crm 2013

Question

Access teams are basically auto generated by mapping a user subgrid to a entity and then selecting the access template for the priveleges.
What is the use of creating a team with team type as Access?

I see what you mean. You can create Access Teams manually for two reasons:
1. Data migration - if you need to create an access team manually to add users
2. Access teams are lightweight - so if you don't want the team roles and ownership functionality you can use access teams to group users and share records with.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
An access team is a special team that is only used to give access to a particular record in an ad-hoc way by end users. It is similar to sharing the record, however the access given by adding users to this team is pre-defined (Read/Update/Delete etc.) and the users that belong to this team are clearly seen via the sub grid on the form.

My question is why microsoft provided a way to create a team by selecting the team type as "Acess" when it actually is created in the backend by adding the user subgrid.Thursday, February 20, 2014 9:02 AM
