  • Shiju,

The main difference between PMP and CAPM exam is Level of Knowledge. PMP exam refer to experienced Project Manager means one should have to get ready to face stituation based exam asking.........What will you do?
CAPM is for begainner having less experience or willing to make career in PM. Majorities of CAPM question directly refer to PMBOK.
I hope this will help you

  • Thanks you Santhosh for the web link. It was really helpful to improve my understanding of concerned certification and the field’s potential for someone with my interests and education.

It would be reallly helpful if you can clarify one more doubt. A entry level project manamgement certification call CAPM, offered by PMI (http://www.pmi.org) is also aimed at PM domain. Kindly advice, if it is similar to MS Project and which respects a better value in the market.

Again, thank you for your time and for the pertinent information you provided.

  • Hello Sachin,

Other than CAPM is there any other certification for entry level in PM.

Any updates on Prince2, Six Sigma, ITIL ... are they all focussed on entry level Project Management and Quality Management.

I basically want to focus on IT sector. So advice me about the relevant entry level PM certifcation I should pursue and its acceptance in INDIAN and GLOBAL market.

    Thanks a lot.
