  •

    Hello,

    I am part of the beta program and was told to use the following code on my blog:

    Code Block

    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://analytics.live.com/Analytics/msAnalytics.js"></script>

    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">

         msAnalytics.ProfileId = 'XXXX';

         msAnalytics.TrackPage();

    </script>

    Do I need to specify a unique value for the ProfileId ???

    The blog I am trying to use this with is at http://blogs.technet.com/keithcombs

    Thanks,

    Keith

    Hi Keith,

    The ProfileID should be filled in for you in the script on Gatineau.   If you go to Gatineau, and click on Profiles.  Then click on Manage to the right of the name of the profile you want the code for, you will get the control panel for that profile.  One of the items there should be an item called “Get tracking script”.

    Clicking on “Get track script” should bring up your tracking script, with your ProfileID.  That is the tracking script you should be using.

    Thanks!

  • That's the problem.  Somebody didn't setup my account correctly and I don't have access to the Gatineau beta, and therefor the profile area.  Could you please fix my ID?  I want to start my tracking before January 1st.

    Thanks,
