Unable to register and problem with Deployment Manager RRS feed

  • For some reason, tracing was enabled for CRM and the trace logs had eaten up all the disk space on the C:\ partition. I disabled tracing and deleted the trace logs but now the Deployment Manager won't load and gives the error:

    Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Admin.DMSnapin, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

    Even worse, when I try and use the Registration Wizard to register the product, I get a dialog box stating: An error occured during registration and I can't go any further. So I've got 23 days to register the product.

  • Not sure why deleting the logs files would cause this.  Have you rebooted the server or done an IISReset?  If that doesn't resolve it, try running a "repair" install.
