CWA External Virtual Server RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I'm following the Microsoft documentation for CWA (2K7 version) plan /
deployment and am looking to configure a second virtual server on the same
physical server for external user access to CWA.  The first virtual server
for internal users is already configured and is working correctly.

I have installed the second v.s. according to the docs, specifying port 444
for SSL access.  I have also purchased and installed an external SSL
certificate for the purpose of authentication (let us call it
    cwa.example.com).

All appears installed /configured correctly, no errors.  However, on a basic
test of access I am getting nowhere.  Let us call the physical server,
server01.  Accessing https://server01/ gives me the CWA signon screen, as
expected.  Accessing https://server01:444/ (internally) gives me first a
certificate error (which I would expect as I am not accessing
https://cwa.example.com/ yet), but then a 404 error, page not found.

I do not receive any errors in IIS or CWA on the server; from what I can see
the configuration is accurate.  Other than the SSL certificate and the port,
there is nothing different between the CWA virtual server.

I am unsure as to why I am receiving the 404 error.  Both v.s. point to the
    same directory.  Any advice appreciated.
