  • Question

  • I received notice that this  computers 'protection has ended , and that I need to renew my subsription.  But,  in the same 'One Care' window I am being shown that my suscription does not end until 3-04-2010. I have a home/ desk top. That one is no longer in service. it may be listed as a 'Hub'.   Can this issue be resolved without uninstalling and much  effort?  Thanks,  E

If your subscription to OneCare shows incorrect or expired in OneCare

    • Check your PC date and time. - check the month/day/year carefully... correct it if wrong and reboot.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.

  • Open One Care, then open "Manage Your One Care Circle", make the computer you are now using a hub computer, locate the computer which is no longer in service and select "Remove this computer".

  • Jim1,  I did as  sugested.  One care still reports  good through  3-04-2010,  but is still sugesting that, the subscription be renewed, and is at risk.         (odd) ( ?? ).     Thanks,    E

  • Yes the time, date,  and year are coorect.
I had to  think if I had set my  time machine to return me in to the wrong year,  but I'm  here  in  2009   :)
do you think  a 'restart' will help clear up the  issue?    E
