    How do I save my voice in songsmith when I am singing in parts and I like what I just sang but need to continue with new added vocals

    Unfortunately, to keep things simple, Songsmith does not allow to you record starting in the middle of your song.  We usually think of a Songsmith "song" as really a "verse" or a "chorus", something you're likely to work on all at once.  If you want to put those pieces together into a larger song, that's when we would recommend saving your Songsmith songs and assembling them in a separate tool that's better-suited for editing whole songs.  We've made sure that Songsmith songs can be exported cleanly, as MIDI and/or audio, to work well with other tools.

    As usual programmers start out short and upgrade later.

    It would be best if Microsoft had a free program in mind to test/practice enabling more features like your asking.
