  • Hello Pudrock,

Microsoft Works and any Office products older then Office XP (released in 2001) are unsupported by Validation and are ignored.  This is why neither Works 2001 or Word 2000 show on the Diagnostic Report and why the webiste didn't detect any Office Products installed.

This is expected and is nothing to worry about. Your Works 2001 and Word 2000 are Genuine and will always show as Genuine.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS

  • Hello Pubrock,

According to the mgadiag report you posted, this HP Pavilion computer does not have an installation of Office subject to validation.

Can you be more specific about the problem you are experiencing?

I see the last half jaar or more no updates in the update page from Windows.
After they changed the updates from the Office updatesite to the regular update site from Windows.
So I thought there must be something wrong with a add in from Microsoft.
So I did some checking and came to Office validation.
Wich says I have no Office.

    But I got Works 2001 Version 6,0 and Word 2000 9.0.8968 sp3.

  • Hello Pubrock,

The version of the Office component program you have, Word 2000, predates the versions of Office that are validated.  If I'm correct, Office XP (aka Office 2002) and newer Office suites and programs are subject to validation.

None of the Works suites (unless it's one of the Works suites that had Word) are subject to validation.

Your Works and Word versions have reached the end of their support Lifecycle so that's probably why you haven't seen any updates for them.
