Vista Common Feed Sync RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Is it possible to sync the common feed list betwen vista machines using Live Mesh, or is there any other tools that can do this.  Would be very useful as I use several computers and follow a series of feeds.

  • I don't see why not, though there might be some caveats...
The Feeds folder is located here:
    \Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Feeds

  • Yes, I'm roaming my feeds with the mesh now, however note that you cannot preserve/roam the feed read state which is unfortunate.  So, when you read/download your feeds on one machine, while the feeds are copied to the other machines, you have to re-read/download them on the other machines.

Would be nice to find a way to 'roam feed states' using the mesh.   i think this is partially related to the fact that the Windows RSS feeds are 'cached' to a hidden folder which can't be roamed with the mesh.
