synctoy21 - Error: Cannot read from the source file - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process (first attempt itself)

  Hi there,

  I see failure message while trying to use synctoy, which was very disappointing.

  c:\data       to           e:\data

  Mode : echo

           successful         failure               Total

  New    13555               109                13664

   

  Error message :

  Error: Cannot read from the source file: c:\data\test.msg The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

   

   

  Question : This shouldn't happen in the first place - which should be a fundamental issue to address for syncronization or backup.

  Commands like Copy or X-copy does copy without failures. My assumption was this product was much robust then copy or x-copy.
