Verification Error When Authenicating Site RRS feed

    Verification error

    This is the meta-tag I have in the head section of my website.

     

    <meta name="msvalidate.01" content="5508AAD064944587A5B839139567E532" />

     

    as generated by the submit tool.  This is the error I am getting:

     

    Sorry, we couldn't verify that you manage that website. Please try again.

     

    We weren't able to authenticate the website.

    Web address: www.mywebsite.com

    Authentication code: 5508AAD064944587A5B839139567E532

     

    Can anyone please help so I can get a sitemap submitted.

     

    I have passed verification for google and yahoo, but this is tripping me up.

    Did you try using the .xml option instead of the Meta tag?

     

    I will second Energy's statement: your site is loading very slow which might be the problem.

    Delete the website, and try to add it again by using a .xml to verify. Youre website is loading slow, even for the sitemap.xml.

    I did delete and re-add the website before the email above, but still got the same problem..
