Unauthorized Change and why I am switching to MAC

Question
-
I had been typing on a post for about 20 min but I guess the system logs you out after if you have validation issues.
I have had my computer for 3 or 4 months and purchased it at Circuit City. When I opened it up this morning I got the following message"
"An Unauthorized change was made to Windows"
It would only let me click on the link "Learn more online" and when I tried to validate online it failed.
I have no clue why this failed and this should not be my problem. I was reading eariler that a lot of people don't know that Vista has been pirated but that technical support people or the store that sold you the pc is using multiple copies of your code. It is a very bad business model to shut down your customer because of something a support person or store is doing.
I hope microsoft send me an appology and fixes my pc quick but I will more than likely have to go through a buch of bulls**t to get it resolved. What a joke.
I own a small business and it is a pain in the a** to have to learn about microsoft's validation requirements. I don't have time to read the forum or chat with someone about a stupid issues that I didn't cause.
Microsoft is because a joke for customer service and caring about it's customers. I have always been a die-hard microsoft user and own quite a bit of stock. I will be selling all my stock shortly and moving to Mac as fast as I can. Vista is a joke. Support is a joke and I'm not laughing.- Moved by RickImAPC Monday, September 15, 2008 3:39 PM An Unauthorized Change was Made to Windows (Moved from Windows XP Genuine Advantage Validation Issues (Windows XP) to Windows Vista Validation Issues (Windows Vista))

Hello Mhendrix08,
We request all users initially run the Genuine Diagnostics tool to try and identify the problem you may be experiencing. Did you receive any error codes and/or statements whatsoever indicating a failed validation? Please try validating windows again by visiting the following location: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine next click on the "Validate Windows" button in the upper right corner. What happens? The genuine site can also provide you with valuable information so please take time and review the documents. Another site for helping customers identify genuine vs. non-genuine software is located here: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/howtotell/
Next please download and run the utility at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012, then click the Windows tab, Copy to Clipboard, then paste the report into a New Post on this Forum. This would assist us immensely so we may analyze possible causes for a failed validation. Next we will begin formulating a resolution for what may be causing the problem.
Step 2 is telling us about the COA. Tell us:
1. What edition of Windows XP is it for, Home, Pro, or Media Center?
2. Does it read "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" in black lettering?
3. Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?
4. DO NOT post the Product Key.
5. Please also provide a short description of the issue you are experiencing.
NOTE: The data collected with the Genuine Diagnostics Tool does NOT contain any information that can personally identify you and can be fully reviewed, by you, before being posted.
Thank you,

Just another note from above:
First of all sorry for the typos. I was typing a nice and clean email before but I got logged out and lost everything.
Second, I chatted with the support folks and they couldn't do anything and told me to send an email and they would resond it 24 hours.
Since I typically do a lot of work for my business on Sunday I asked if she was serious and she responded with a "Yes" and immediatly disconnected. I appreciate how Microsoft can shut your PC down anytime and you can't do nothing about it.
Microsoft is horrible and I will do everything I can to notify my customers to get away from it as fast as I can.
And all of this is coming from a once die-hard Microsoft fan. What a joke!Sunday, September 14, 2008 6:17 PM -
mhendrix08,
We have received your support request. A support representative is investigating your issue based on the preliminary information you have provided. I am transferring your post to the Vista Genuine Advantage program forum. There a support representative will assist you further.
