Scan Disk Micro Cruzer Causes Explorer to stop responding RRS feed

    I have Quanta laptop running Windows XP Pro. When I plug my Scan Disk Micro Cruzer 4.0 gig thumb drive into the USB port, it does not recongize it and if I go to Windows Explorer or My Computer, they lock up and will not respond without removing the jump key and rebooting. It does NOT attempt to install.

    Any suggestions?

    This drive works fine on every other comptuter I have used running Windows 200, XP Home and XP Pro.
