CRM 2011: Deleting Managed Solution RRS feed

    Hi All,

    I have two Managed solutions in LIVE. Both of them have a common Entity called 'A'.

    If I will delete one Managed solution, it should not delete Entity 'A' because it is a part of the other managed solution?

    Am I right?

    Hi,

        I think you will not be able to delete the managed solution as it will otherwise break the other managed solution. I have not tried this personally but I think it is a poor design if you have situation like this. Concept of managed solution is simple. Include everything you need as part of it as one package so when you delete, it can remove all the components you do not need. In this case, you have 2 where you cannot remove anyone without either breaking one solution or you cannot delete none.
