Reinstalling Microsoft office RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to wipe my hard drive due to my computer being very slow and do the recovery disk afterward.
I currently have Office Home and Student 2007. I have been reading the questions and answers on the forum regarding reinstalling and activation. Seems like there are a lot of problems. What can I do to ensure I do not have the same technical difficulities. I have windows Xp as well.

    Thank you

  • Hello Office girl,

If your Office Home and Student 2007 reports as Genuine here www.microsoft.com/genuine when you click on the Validate Office button, then your clean installation of Office onto your clean installation of Windows should go very well.

After installation of Office, open Windows Updates and accept the offer of Microsoft Update, which will check for updates for Office as well.  Office 2007 is up to Service Pack 2 plus many additonal security updates.
