CRM 2016 Blank Address record created in Contact entity RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I am facing a wierd issue wherein whenever i create a contact, an empty record is created in Other Addresses entity. 

    Below is the screenshot - 

    I read on several blogs that by default 2 blank records are created everytime an account or contact is created, However this does not happen in case of accounts. No blank record is seen under 'Customer Address Associated view' for Accounts.

  • Finally i got the solution.Posting it so that it  helps others.

    Firstly some information - 

    When Account is created to blank records are created in Address entity.

    When contact is created , 3 blank records are created in Contact entity.

    The issue was i was able to see one blank record in Customer Associated view for Address entity.

    After i exported the solution with Address entity in it. I found that the filter criteria for Customer Associated View (in customizations.xml file) was modified (dont know how) as below - 

     <filter type="and">
            <condition attribute="addressnumber" operator="gt" value="2" />
        </filter>

    That is the reason i was able to view one blank record in case of contact. so i modified the filter criteria as below and re-imported the solution and it worked.

    <filter type="or">
        <filter type="and">
            <condition attribute="addressnumber" operator="gt" value="2" />
            <condition attribute="objecttypecode" operator="eq" value="1" />
        </filter>
        <filter type="and">
            <condition attribute="addressnumber" operator="gt" value="3" />
            <condition attribute="objecttypecode" operator="eq" value="2" />
        </filter>
    </filter>

  • Do an advanced find and see. You will find the blank records created.

    Thank you for the response. i checked the Advanced Find and could find the blank records. it seems 2 blank records are created when account is created and 3 blank records are created when contact is created. However i would like to know.. why in case of contact this one record is visible under 'Customer Associated View', which is not happening in case of Account.
