This copy of Microsoft Office has not been activated

Question
-
I have re-installed my XP and MS Office XP that I purchased from Dell with the PC, run all the appropriate updates and am now getting the "This copy of Microsoft Office has not been activated" message. Whilst it says the product has not been activated, if I go into the individual applications and click on the Activate option of the Help menu it says "this product has already been activated" so I can't seem to get out of the loop. Below is a copy of the log

When a longtime-installed and activated installation of Office XP suddenly has trouble remembering whether it is activated or not, those symptoms (as you described) indicate that for some reason the Office XP license file may have been damaged or corrupted.
To correct this problem, please work thru the Methods in this MS KB support article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903275
Most people tell us that running the MS FixIt in Method 2 takes care of the problem. Post back to let us know if it worked for you :-)
Thank you,
