Windows Reactivation Require On Any Hardware Changes RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had removed a peace of RAM from my computer, the windows promt me for the reactivation due to hardware changes.

I called microsoft regarding this issue and they mentioned me this is the new policy created from them. They mention that the "Hardware" including Processor, Ram, Motherboard, Hard Drive, Card (any card like display, network card), drive (CD/DVD/floppy) will trigger reactivation process.

I totally can't understand why microsoft come out with this dump policy. They don't even think how many times an IT guys/vendor need to change the hardware for trouble shooting or testing purposes.

I hope any victims in IT lines can voice out and support posting and advise microsoft to redraw this policy from the genuine validation tools
