clearing browser cache or temporary internet files RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi
    iam developing a website in c# 1.1
There are two main problems which iam encountering.
Problem 1 : Iam using response.redirect for switching between  the pages. The page is working fine, but only the address of that page is not reflecting in the address bar. This brings problem when the user refreshes the page(in whatever page he is on) if he encounters slow processing of page, or for whatever reason. The page address which is in the address bar is obviously going to get refreshed irrespective of the page in which he is in. How can i overcome this problem. Pls let me know.

Problem 2: In the same project, iam using lot of editing sections which edits html pages. Everything is working fine for the first time when the user is doing some editing. When he is editing the second page, he is getting the editing section of the last page which he edited. This means the browser is caching the page and giving it back. How can i override this caching problem for the different browsers, as this is very hectic. Pls help me out in solving these two issues asap.

    thanks in advance
