computer boots slow after OneCare RRS feed

  • after installing OneCare my computer boots slow and applications open slow - yes I turned off any programs I don't need to start when booting - any idea's? - if not I want my money back

    Perhaps you're experiencing some contention on your system between security products.  What real-time Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware applications did you previously or do you currently have installed in addition to OneCare?  Did you use those application's own un-install and/or cleanup tools if you tried to remove them before you installed OneCare?  Often, security applications are installed at very low system levels, and a simple Add/Remove is not enough to remove them completely.  Maybe we can provide the location of such removal tools if needed.

  • I believe that Dave_M is correct. If your PC is slow after installing OneCare, there is likely a conflict.
