Deployment to SkyDrive RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just wondering if anyone has an example of deploying a project to Skydrive?

I currently deploy to dropbox, which works, however I want to switch everything over to Skydrive.

    Thanks

    MW

  • What happens when you try to deploy to SkyDrive?

  • Hi,

Its not so much that I get an error, with Dropbox I need to add the following to the installation folder URL.

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/123456789/tenant tracker/Release/

    Same path for the updates.

Seems like the dropbox only works properly if I publish to the public folder.

Then all I need to do is give the public link to the person installing my app.

    Works like a champ.

I don't know what the path is for skydrive that equals the the dropbox one.

  • I think you'd do the same - publish to the public folder in SkyDrive.

You can then find the path by going to the folder, and copying the URL.

  • Thanks Karl,

    Happy holidays

I thought so to, but Skydrive does not behave like Dropbox.

When I deploy I copy the link to the publish.html and give that to the person doing the install.

Works fine for Dropbox but for Skydrive instead of the publish page displaying properly, it shows up as though I am editing the html.

Sooner or later I'll figure it out.

    My next question will be:

I've already deployed using Dropbox, and updates are working properly, when I get skydrive working what is that going to break? How do I tell my deployed app to check skydrive now for updates instead.
