I'm using Office Communicator 2007 R2. I can add plain phone numbers to the contact list and call them using OCS, no problem.
How to add wait/pause tones to the dialled numbers? I tried adding the char "w" or "," that work in other apps, but they are not accepted by OCS. Goal is for example to hava a one-click access to my conference bridge (800123456), entering the PIN number (9876) automatically by dialing 800123456w9876#
I know that in Live Meeting, a comma adds a one second delay (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/livemeeting/HA011653271033.aspx), so you may need to add a few more (if Communicator also accepts commas,) but I've never tried this in Communicator before. On some other systems, we can use a 'p' for a pause.
I am facing the same issue. I have tried w, comma, p, etc but no luck.
The moment you enter it e.g. in your outlook address book it gets omitted.
I hope someone has an answer out there or otherwise that this gets incorporated in the next version as it is handy and commonly used on hand phones for example.
You will have to configure that on the Voip Gateway that connects OCS to your PBX What Telephony integration are you using? Direct Sip or via a VOIP Gateway (what gateway)- Belgian Unified Communications Community : http://www.pro-exchange.be -
