Windows LiveID and Subscription RRS feed

  • Question

I just recently got a new laptop, and had Windows Live OneCare installed. My sister already had the disc so that copy was installed. When I tried to subscribe I didn't realise I needed to use her LiveID to complete the activation, and just used my WindowsID. Now everytime I try to sunscribe, it prompts me to sign in, but in the Windows LiveID section, my email shows up, and for some reason I cannot delete it, or write in any other email. It just won't let me, slightly frustrating. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? Thanks!

  • Unfortunately, you've encountered a bug in 2.0 that will be fixed in the future. Once you enter a LiveID in OneCare for use in the trial version to enable multi-PC functionality, you cannot change that when you wish to activate a subscription. Your only solution at this point is to uninstall OneCare and then reinstall which will allow you to enter the correct LiveID.
