Windows Update warning RRS feed

  • Question

  • From time to time, Windows Live OneCare warns me about automantic update has been disabled.

The fact is Windows Update is up and running, therefore I believe it's a bug...

Is anyone experencing the same problem?

  • Yes, this has been reported before and, unfortunately, we have not yet heard if a cause has been found. I've personally encountered it a few times, but quite rarely. Some people have reported that this happens daily when they start the PC.

  • I'm using Vista Basic, and have seen this a bit often from OneCare during startup. Often I think of it as a false alarm because I've known that Windows Automatic Updates is always on.

I hope Microsoft is currently working on a bug fix to correct this issue soon.
