Windows update will not update to service pack

My windows update doesn"t update to windows vista service pack 1. ive tried every suggestion in the error 80070002 but nothing works.

You can find useful troubleshooting suggestions for the 80070002 error at the following address

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910336You can try downloading the Windows Vista Service Pack 1 from the Download Center (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=910) and manually installing it, running the installation program as Administrator after disabling the antivirus protection; restart the system after the installation completion and re-enable the antivirus protection.
If the Windows Update problems persist, try resetting the Windows Update components: read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 971058.
