Can't validate Office using the Validation screens

Question
-
i'm going in circles trying to activate/validate my old 2002 version of office. here is the diagnostic report for you to examine. the "activate product" on the "help" dropdowns say 'activated' for each application, but i still have the invalid banner on the toolbar. i had no problems running the validate xp or validate office buttons (i copied and pasted those results at the end of this message).

Hello sahirsch,
Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:
OGA Data-->
Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2
Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage - 114 Blocked VLK 2
Microsoft Office XP Small Business - 101 Not Activated
OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0
Signed By: Microsoft
Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-230-1_3E121E02-532-80004005_3E121E02-288-80004005
The report is telling us that you have two installations of Office on your HP computer.
The first installation listed above is a nongenuine Volume Licensing installation of Office XP Professional with FrontPage that was done with a widely pirated and now blocked Volume Licensing product Key. This is the installation that you are being notified about by the Nongenuine messages you are seeing on your computer.
The second installation listed above is a not-yet-activated installation of an OEM license for Office XP Small Business.
In order to Get Genuine, please use the Add or Remove Programs applet in Control Panel to uninstall Office XP Professional with FrontPage, restarting the computer twice afterwards.
Then, open an Office program such as Word. Upon opening Word, the Activation Wizard should come up. Follow the prompts to activate Office XP Small Business normally online. After activation, close Word and restart the computer.
Then, after the computer restarts, and keeping all Office pograms closed for the moment, visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button. Your installation of Office XP Small Business should validate normally. Next, open up several Office programs to verify that you are no longer seeing the Nongenuine notices.
Finally, start Windows Update and click on the link to install Microsoft Updates, which will check for updates to other Microsoft products including Office. Once that's done, run Microsoft Update to gather and install updates for your Office XP Small Business installation.
Please psot back to let us know how you do :-)
