Product Taxes/VAT RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are just migrating to CRM 2015 Online, and while adding products, or doing quotes, we don't seem to have the option to add TAX/VAT anywhere. No customizations done.

  • Hello Harry,

CRM does not provide an accounting solution like an erp which  would automatically calculate the tax on transactions. It does provides a tax field on the transaction forms but the value has to be manually entered by the users while creating a record. You can use calculated fields to acheive that

However its advisable to use some third part addon for the same.

    Hope it helps!

  • Dear Abhishek

Thank you for your response. We are aware of the limitations. Our issue is we don't even see the tax field at all while setting up products or doing quotes.

    Regards

    Harry

  • Hello Harry,

Well you cannot add Tax in Quote directly. You will have to input your Tax in Quote product Lines (tax for each Quote Product). And this can be done manually on every quote product.

Once you input the Tax in Quote Product, then the result will be appearing in the Quote as total sum of Quote Product Taxes.

You would be able to find Quote product Entity and have N:1 Relationship to Quote.

    Hope this helps!
