Hi
I am receiving "address book syn" error rarely. It wont show the message continuously, but sometimes i face the issue on my communicator.

Or you can publish more information for your issue, such as event log or or use the netmon log.
In my opinion, if the issue just happen to one user, you can delete the contact.db and restart the oc, or uninstall the oc and reinstall it.
