Transfer license agreement to a new computer RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I am at the max (3) computers on my license agreement for live one care.  I just replaced an old slow computer with a newer computer and would like to transfer my license from the old computer to the new one.  Can this be done?  I don't want to buy another license when I don't need it.  Please help!!

  • If you retired your old computer there should be no problem installing One Care using your current subscription on your new computer.

  • How does one "retire" and old computer from OneCare?

  • Either Uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs or if it's non-operational due to a hardware or other failure, just forget it.

As long as the old PC doesn't 'phone home' to the OneCare servers it is automatically retired, since it's not considered active.
