Formatting the Actual cost and Cost Columns on MS Project 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I need to format the actual cost and cost column on MS project 2007 as i dont want it to be a decimal number. i am trying to find a way of formatting it but unable to do so. I need to get this formatted as i want the cost and actual cost to be displayed as numbers with no decimal places on the data analysis cube.

    Thanks

    Mannu

  • You just have to type one of the formats manually...

It is correct that tose formats are not in the list with standard formats.

  • Hello Mannu,

I don't think you have to format those fields in MSP 2007 in order to get them formatted the same way in de cubes.

I use this number format expression (in the dialogbox "Command and Options" of the analysis environment):

    • #,##0                      No decimal digits
    • #,##0.00                 2 decimal digits
    • #,##0;[red]-#,##0  No decimals, Red for negative numbers
    • ...

Hope this is an answer to your question
    Regards
    Wim

  • Thanks Wim,

I checked in the Command and option dialog box in the analysis enviornment but i dont see any of the following options:

    • #,##0                      No decimal digits
    • #,##0.00                 2 decimal digits
    • #,##0;[red]-#,##0  No decimals, Red for negative numbers
    • ...

I am using MSPS 2007.Is that the reason for it to not get displayed?
