  • Question

  • Hi

On the above diagram the red team and the blue team share same entities but both have their forms . RED team create/view records using form 1 while the blue team use form 2.

This is where I'am confused . The managers higher up in the hierarchy need visibility on both records created by red and blue team . In that case which form would they be using to view the records ? Form 1 and Form 2 are totally separate forms.

    I hope it makes sense.

  • Hi, perhaps you could have a third form for the managers which contains the fields from both forms?

  • Unless you have a limit on only 2 forms - I would explore more forms tailor for each role so they only see what they need to see.

  • Hi Paul

No that wouldn't work . Those forms are specific to BU and the managers should see the exact form as created by the respective teams.

  • I think you are asking can the specific A or B form display to the manager based on which team owns the record?  The owner of the record determine the team they are form.

If this is the case - then need to look into custom developement - javascript to detect the owner's team and if manager switch it to the right form.

Here is the link to the JavaScript on switching CRM forms:

  • Hi Frank

I think this might be it . Do you know of any working examples of it ? Where would you implement this script on ?
