I have a loptop w/WinVista Home Prem. I had small business office suite installed when I bought it. My probs started when I went to use office tools. I punched in my prod key to register it. My product key is invalid. No prob, right? Just uninstall any trial versions etc., and reinstall store bought again. I havent tried yet. One thing led to another after I called my IT guy. He did a custom install (vs. quick install) when I bought the laptop. Accounting Exxpress 2008 was never even included in the install but should have with been with a custom install, right? Anyway, he reminded me that the PC had been doing some pretty funky stuff when I spoke w/him last, so I brought up performance logs to check it out again and I have loads of errors, some critical. What kind of evil little b#*^%#d is living in my laptop? Anyway, since I'm personally just now coming out of the stone age, I don't understand the lingo real well so I can't decipher the event logs. What should be done, short of taking it in? The shop's 2 hours away.
