Cliplets Failed Installation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, guys

I love Cliplets and recently when I downloaded the newest version (1.1.1) and tried to install it, this error came up:

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your personnel or package vendor"

This happened while trying to install it over the older version. I tried uninstalling the older one and trying again but it's the same.

    Can anyone help, please?

  • Did you try downloading Cliplets again.  It sounds like perhaps the installer got corrupted during download.

    Just tried it. Same thing.

At first I thought it was because I didn't have a .NET Framework or something but in fact I have .NET Framework 4, Visual C++ 2008 and 2010 Redistributable - all the stuff I would expect would be needed.

Thanks for your reply, Matt. Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Matt. I just tried it but there isn't any "Cliplets", "Microsoft Research Cliplets" or "Microsoft Cliplets" entry when it shows me the list with the programs.
