  • Question

  • Recently I changed my Windows Live password.  When I tried logging into Microsoft Money and used the new password I got the message "Your sign-in information could not be verified.  Go online, and then reenter your sign-in information."  I went to my Windows Live (Hotmail.com) page, signed out and then signed back in and then tried to open Microsoft Money and continued to get the same error message.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks for your help.

  • You will need to sign in to Money with your old password.  Money no longer connects with Microsoft Passport.  Have a look at this:

and post back is you have trouble.  Be sure to state your version of Money.

  • Thanks for the response, Bill, but that does not work.  When I try my old password I get the message, "The email address or password is incorrect.  Please try again."

  • Did you look at the link in my response?  There is a procedure there to log in offline and remove the password.

What version of Money do you have?
