  • Question

  •  I have CRM 2011 RC on a fresh installation with 2008 R2 Ent Svr an SQL Server 2008 RC2 Ent Svr, CRM is operating correctly bu I can't get the Email Router to work. I have checked all the Exchange 2007 Credentials to be correct but when I [Load Data] i get the the error message:

" The email router configuration manager was unable to retrieve user and queue information from the microsoft dynamics CRM server. This may indicate that the microsoft dynamics crm server is busy. Verify that 'https://FQDN:<port>/<our orgid> is correct. Additionally, this problem can occur if specified access credentials are insufficient, to try again, click load data. (Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'https://FQDN:<port>/xrmservices/2011/discovery.svc?wsdl'.)

    -----------------------------------------------

    If I go to https://FQDN:<port>/xrmservices/2011/discovery.svc?wsdl I Get:

    An error has occurred.

Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics CRM Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support.

    --------------------------------------------------------

I can get to all URL's internally and externally

    http://SERVER:<port>/<OrganizationName>

    https://SERVER:<port>/<OrganizationName>

    http://FQDN:<port>/<OrganizationName>

    https://FQDN:<port>/<OrganizationName>

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

I have changed the Microsoft CRM Email Router service account to the Admin account, checked the admin account can login to crm and has deployment rights.

I have tried 'Online service provider' and 'My Company'

Access Credentials as 'Other Specified' to the admin account

    HELP!

    1. host header - i'd added the FQDN http/https and left in *:5555 and SERVERNAME:5555. removed the header an confirmed the headers matched in Deployment Manager (right click deployment manager, properties) which fixed this

    2. it didn't like the self generated certificate, changed, Deployment Manager (right click deployment manager, properties) back to HTTP. which fixed this

  • We had a similar issue with a clean Microsoft CRM 2011 installation that uses an SSL certificate with the FQDN of the web server (hostname.domain.local).  We were able to resolve the email router issue by changing the default web addresses in the deployment manager:

    • start the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Deployment Manager
    • right-click on the "Microsoft Dynamics CRM" root node
    • select the "Web Address" tab
    • change the HTTPS URLs to match the CN in the SSL certificate subject and add the port number (e.g. hostname.domain.local:443)
    • click OK and close the deployment manager
    • restart the CRM server(s)
