i dont think windows is updating

Question
-
my L305D-S5974 is crazy cause when I do a restart from the desk top it stops at the boot-up screen where f2-for set-up and f12-for network boot are and are not functional. I can hold the power button down and it shuts off ,press the power button turns it back on and runs and starts up no problem. If I go to the shut down button on the desk top where the restart click described above is in the side pop out, if I just click in the shut down, Windows update 1 of 13 don't unplug or shut down until windows completes, every time, everytime. I want to restore to factory settings as well however this laptop has no keyboard in it and I am using a usb Razer Deathstalker keyboard instead can it be reset with the usb keyboard cause I tried starting with zero pressed and it booted windows normally. Let me know what you think thank you

There are three things to do to get the keyboard to work:
- Try all the USB ports
- Remove the CMOS battery (advanced users only)
- Get another keyboard
However, you can restore factory settings using the disk that came with the laptop, by entering the disk and booting from it. No working keyboard will still be a problem, so I would recommend, if your laptop has a PS/2 port, a PS/2 keyboard if all else fails. If the keyboard does work, press f8, choose advanced boot options and then "Repair my computer". Afterwards, go into advanced options (or something similar) and choose factory reset. Sorry for the badly written instructions. I hope it helps.
