Hide "Add Existing Button" in associated entity using Javascript RRS feed

  • Hello All,

    Can you help me how to hide "Add new/Add Existing" button from Associated entities using Javascript in MS CRM 2011

  • Could you describe your scenario - it might be that there is a better way that to use Javascript.

    For instance:

    The 'Add Existing' button can be hidden by making the lookup attribute 'Business Required', and the Add new button can be hidden using Security Roles by removing the 'Append' rights on the child entity.

  • Hi,

    for specific role users we need to display that button and for others it should display. To whom i want to hide, those role users can create the associated record from entity level.

  • Hi,

    You can't hide it using Javascript - but you can disable using a Custom Enable Rule.

    Alternatively you could disable based on security privileges - http://ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/76681-hide-a-standard-out-of-the-box-button-based-on-a

    You mean there is no possibility to hide the button using Javascript right?
