Automatic Updates refuse to install updates and firewall problems. RRS feed

    I don't know what to do. Every time I get on the computer, the icon for Automatic Updates is in my tray and when I try to get the updates to install, it starts to initialize and that's as fas as it goes, leaving me with a message saying "The following updates did not install: *Insert mile-long list of updates here.*" I went to the Microsoft Update website and tried to see if it would let me update my computer from the webisite but all it did was download, initialize and then say that it couldn't install the updates. I checked over and over again that my Automatic Updates were on, set them to install at a time that I knew I would be online, rebooted a million and one times but was still forced to install updates manually from the Download Center. As for my firewall problem, I go into Windows Security on my Control Panel and try to activate the firewall but it says something about an error and not being able to turn on. I also am using McAfee Security and the firewall for that refuses to work as well. I've tried all I can think of and I'm super frustrated. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.


    By the way, my Windows is Valid, I've checked that already.
