Why don't you tell us which device a file was edited on? RRS feed

  • Question

  • When  file is updated our newsfeed says something like:

Jamie Thomson updated file demo_package.dtproj.user in the folder Visual Studio Projects10:18 PM

That's very useful naturally. But I'm very surprised that you don't tell us which device it was updated on.

Knowing the device would be especially useful when resolving conflicts because its likely that we'd know which device contains the version we want to keep.

In fact, this is such a no-brainer it makes me think that there has been an explicit decision to NOT tell us what device it was edited on. So, what was the reason?

    Thanks
    Jamie

LOL! You are? I enjoyed this admission of the oversight in design. :-) The good thing is that you are open to sugestions from us to help improve Live Mesh.
