Partner forums down? - or is it me?? (Jan 2013) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I appear to be locked out of the Partner forums currently - I get a 'Not Authorized' error attempting anything within that tree.

Is it me, or is there a problem with the servers?

  • Hi,

I got some server down errors in the Technet forums too, but now everything is looking fine.

  • Something still isn't right.  I have no access to any of the threads i've posted in the partner forums.  They are just gone.

  • I got that today too. A valuable, valuable resource gone. This is so frustrating dealing with Microsoft's internal problems.

  • Noel, can you edit your title to say, "Partner forums 2013 down? - or is it me??" This issue happened back in 2009 too.

  • I got a load of server-side errors as well

    1) The 'All replies' header Is in Hebrew (!) - despite the en-US URL

    2) Runtime errors loading the page

    3) an interesting return from hitting the 'Submit' button ....

  • Dynamics GP forum has been down since last night (about 7 EST).  Does not list in the main forum listing at all, and displays the 'not authorized' message when jumping direct.  Also noticed SQL Server forum is missing.

  • I still see the Partner forums in my My Forums listing - but I'm locked out of the forums themselves.

I get a 405 error trying to log in to the normal Partner website, as well.... passthrough fails at https://mspartner.microsoft.com/_trust

  • We are having several issues related to individuals accessing MVP/Partner Forums. We are currently investigating the cause and working on a resolution.

  • Same issue as other users - I'm a Dynamics partner, but unable to access Dynamics-SL site - "NOT AUTHORIZED" error message

I went through support with Microsoft Dynamics Voice, and got escalated twice within the web site support team (off & on over 3 hours). They proceeded to change IE browser settings, proxy settings, grasping at straws until the last support staff employee said "I give up - someone will contact you again next week". I spoke with one of the employees that work in the support team that manage that site. They had no problems themselves, and were not aware of any user issues accessing the site.

It seems within Microsoft's web sites that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing...

  • I just spoke to a Microsoft technician that insisted it was working.  Apparently a partner posted on the forum 20 minutes ago.  So this issue seems to be localized to just specific partners.  He said he would get it pushed up so management group has visibilitiy.

Somewhat curious - we just hooked up with a Master VAR and just got our our account switched over last week - does this apply to anyone else here?

Noel - how about unmarking this thread as resolution provided?   I think you are the only one that can do that since you started the thread.   It might pop it back to be monitored.

It's tagged as 'proposed answer' currently - because MS (i.e. Bryant) has acknowledged the problem exists, and said that they are working on it.

This fulfils the purpose of this forum as in its 'charter'.

I certainly won't be marking it as an answer, though, until either we get more feedback from MS, or the problem is solved!

  • Has anyone seen an official MS reply, besides the one posted to this message that MS is aware of the problem? Community.Dynamics.com is still accessible, but I don't know if the same MS staff monitor that site as the Dynamics partner forums.

  • I haven't changed anything either. I do need to have access to that forum because I changed code a lot in my project without making source safe checks and I believe I posted one of the versions I may want to try right now. So, I really want an access to that forum in order to check the code in my thread.
