  • Question

  • I upgraded 3 PCs to Windows 7 Home Premium from Windows Vista using the Family Pack about 2 months ago. It activated fine and has worked great for two months and suddenly decided that my copy isn't genuine. I bought the software retail from Staples. Any help?

    1. type "slui 4" in the start menu search box, hit enter
    2. select country or region
    3. dial the number, DO NOT select any menu options, just wait and a person will pick up.
    4. activate by phone, insure you tell them that you have the 3 license family pack, they will ask how many PC's it is installed on.

For some reason this computer never activated, activating by phone, then validating should fix it.

  • This is in regards to the computer jdrusse is talking about.

When I type in "slui 4" and click on it nothing happens.

I have called Microsoft three times now and told the person the long combinations of numbers. When I type in the numbers they give me my computer still will not activate/ validate.
