Products Import in CRM 4.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

    1. I have a .csv product list I have to import. I realize that the .csv file contains many fields that are not on the standard CRM product form. But lets ignore those extra fields for a minute... The question is: how do I import products in CRM? Because a Product has to be a part of a Price List Item and that item has to be under a Price List.

So how can I possibly do a product import? Even if all my product fields match, and the import succeeds the product is still not on the Price List Item and Price List. Is there any way to make this happens during the import I does a custom code need to be written for this?

    2. If I have Scribe software that connecets GP and MS CRM. Would I be able to do the update of the CRM products (when the .csv is changed) with this Scribe application or is this a seperate Scribe product that I buy specifically for the connection between Excel and CRM?

    Thx for all help.

Answers

  • 1) You import products and then you import the information regarding the price list items i.e. which products belong to which price lists and how much are you selling them for.
    2) I'm not 100% sure but the connector to Excel, I believe, is out of the box so you should be able to use the one you have.
