WHS2011 Connector fails to connect to server RRS feed

  • Question

  • All was fine, then when trying to use the Dashboard to manage my WHS2011 it tells me the server is off-line, but it is on-line as I can view the shared folders, RDP to it, and logon to its web page.

I uninstalled and tried to re-install the connect software, but now -  I get "The computer is unable to establish a trust relationship with the server - Verify that the computers date and time are accurate and try again"

The time and date are to the second the same on the server and the client - same with 2 different client PCs (Windows 8.1 Pro 64)

    Have restarted server and clients.

Both my WHS2011 and my Windows 8.1 Pro clients are fully to date with Windows updates.

After doing some research it appears to be a Certificate revocation issue, but how do I fix this.

On the server I have tried the "Renew CA Certificate" but does not help.

    Help!

  • Hi,

According to your description, my understanding is that connector failed with error "The computer is unable to establish a trust relationship with the server - Verify that the computers date and time are accurate and try again".

Check the details about CA mentioned in “WHS 2011 – This computer is unable to establish a trust relationship with the server. Verify that the computer’s date and time are accurate and try again”:
