I purchased a D-Link Dir-615 router to use with my laptop. I have a wireless usb stick. I am trying to add my laptop to windows live onecare and when I inserted the cd into laptop there was an error message 0014-80072EE7 on my laptop. Does my laptop need to be connected to the internet to load live onecare on it? D-Link has Network Magic with it but I want to use live onecare network.
I have installed onecare on my laptop. It seems to be working properly but I still cannot connect to the internet from the wireless connection on the laptop. I still get the message that this network requires a network key. There is a lock icon secuirty enabled wirless network. Not sure where I get the key to unlock nor where to enter the key once I get it.
I did the wizard for setting up a wireless network for a home or small office.
The key is in your router settings. See your router documentation on how to reset the router and configure it if you don't know the key to use. Typically, there will be a button on the router to depress and hold which will reset the router to factory defaults, which is usually unsecured. Once you have connected without security, follow the router instructions for setting up security. You will need the key entered in the router settings and on the laptop wireless card.
