Windows 7 Validation failed. Due to motherboard replacement? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I just replaced my motherboard, but kept my HD, RAM, CPU. I hadn't upgraded to Windows 10 yet because my broken motherboard left the PC incapacitated for a six months.

Below is my Diagnostic Report. Any ideas on how to fix this? If I could just re-enter my product key somewhere?

    Thank you!

  • OEM Licenses are not valid on motherboards other than the original one on which the license was first activated - You will need to use telephone activation and persuade the Activation operator that your case for a change of motherboard is a valid one.
