Anafi 360 Vertical & 360 Horizontal photos to Spherical Panorama problems RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good afternoon,

I'm hoping that someone has come across this problem, and found a resolution.

I'm trying to stitch together the photos that a Parrot Anafi Drone takes, to feed into a 360 Panorama in both directions.

The Parrot Anafi takes 42 pictures, in the following pattern.

    A) Straight down, take picture

    B) Straight up, take picture

    1) Down ~ 30 to 45 degrees, take picture

    2) Down ~ 30 to 45 degrees, take picture

    3) Down ~ 30 to 45 degrees, take picture

    4) Down ~ 30 to 45 degrees, take picture

    5) Right ~36 degrees, take picture

    6) Up ~  30 to 45 degrees, take picture

Serpentine movement as represented in the picture layout below.

However, when I set up the settings as shown in the picture I'll attach in a follow up to this Question, MS ICE still leaves out the top row (i.e. 1, 8, 9, 16, 17, ..., 40) and the bottom row (4, 5, 12, 13, 20, 21, 28, ..., 37).  The panorama that comes out is 360 Horizontal, but only only 93.6 degrees Vertical only using 20 of the 40 pictures.

I understand that the difficulty is with processing blank sky and dark ground, but I was hoping that filling in the manual settings as to how the pictures fit/stitch together would provide the information MS ICE needs to use all the pictures.

Has anyone determined a way to have MS ICE use all the pictures, when you enter the manual settings?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
